Omorovica: Queen of Hungary Mist

30ml and 50ml (in ltd edition packaging)
Mists can be seen as a bit of a controversial step in a skincare routine. At least in terms of necessity. For those on a budget this would be the perfect step to skip. However, there's virtually nothing that feels better when you're going through the motions in the morning and give a little spritz to your skin. Especially when a product both feels and smells this good.

Officially a mist can be used as a way to sandwich moisture in. So this is any girl with dry skin's saviour. You put it on after cleansing. And can do it again after you apply makeup to set everything. If you work in an office with air conditioning or heaters that suck every ounce of moisture from your body, have one at your desk to refresh throughout the day.

Mists are also perfect for when you're flying. The recycled air will do everything to age you about five years by the time you land. So always pack a travel sized bottle with you. Reaction from passengers around you vary from being irritated by the person next to them who thinks they are in their own private day spa to those who appreciate making smell just a little better.

It doesn't seem like it should work, but your skin will thank you for it. Proper mists, not Evian or the like, are infused with a number of good bits for your skin. Evian is just water and will ironically dehydrate your skin as it dries.

Omorvica's Queen of Hungary mist was developed as a sort of perfume / beauty treatment for the actual Queen of Hungary. It is full of the mineralised waters from the area and infused with rose and neroli which both help hydrate and nourish the skin.

The price can be quite prohibitive with the full 100ml size setting you back £50. But it now comes in a number of sizes including a travel friendly 30ml size at just £15. As a warning for those travelling with it, even the small size is in a glass bottle so can weigh things down if you're trying to pack light.

It is a completely indulgent product. There are cheaper mists on the market which are effective. But you do get what you pay for. This is a luxe brand where everything from the smell to the actual packaging has been thoroughly thought through. The spray nozzle delivers the right amount of product in a fine mist that will just coat your skin. Which doesn't seem like a big deal until you're trying to set your makeup and get a huge squirt of product that removes half of it from your face.

One final point is - this smells like heaven. Which I say every time isn't important for effective skin care. But it does give you that moment of escape in your hectic life. Breathe it in deeply - you've paid a pretty penny for it. ;)
